Franziska Weitgruber is a Type and Graphic Designer based in South Tyrol (IT). She designs retail and bespoke typefaces, logos and corporate designs, letterings, posters — letters and graphic shapes on paper, walls, products.
She graduated from the Type and Media master course at the Royal Academy of Arts Den Haag in 2016. Before that she studied Graphic Design at NDU St. Pölten.
In her work she’s exploring the transitions between analogue and digital techniques trying to push tools and materials to the limits while bringing letters to life. Type and letterforms as a visual representation of language — capable of giving a voice to communication.
